Healthy Ice Cream!

I don't know about you, but when it's hot out and I'm on a diet, all I can think about is ice cream! It's very hard to stay on track in the summer, with vacation, BBQ, and picnics, but we found a healthier option for you to try when you are craving that yummy ice cream treat. The recipe is super easy and yummy. We hope you give it a try! The recipe makes 2 servings, each serving counts as 1 red, 1 purple, and 3 tsp. I am only allowed 2 tsp per day, but for this I will gladly take the extra tsp.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup almond milk

  • 1 sliced frozen banana

  • 2 tablespoons of peanut butter

Place all ingredients in a blender, blend, and serve immediately.

As you can see, while I was patiently waiting to eat this dessert, Ryan was cleaning out the blender one spoonful at a time! I caught him in the act, unbeknownst to both of us! It was too good to waste!

Note: The Shakeology ice cream won't last in the fridge and you shouldn't freeze it.

You could also try using only one tablespoon of peanut butter instead of 2 to help decrease your total number of teaspoons (so each serving would be 1.5 tsp instead of 3).
